*Some RUBARBians biked to EARTHFEST in Armstrong Park!  We unfortunately missed Virginia’s magical tales of bicycle fairies, but got to look around at the different booths and heard some live music.  

*RUBARB had it’s 4th Annual Fundraiser at the RED HOUSE!  Not only did we raise a lot of money for the shop, but there was great music, food, auction items, a puppet show and kids

* RUBARB biked with youth to the Alvar Library to participate in mask and costume making for Mardi Gras!  Kids made amazing masks and even got a chance to use the sewing machines and get

*The RUBARB Holiday Extravaganza (Dec 21) was a big success!  We made a X-mas tree out of wheels and parts, played 4-square, ate delicious food, received treats in our homemade stockings, and planted 5 trees!

*RUBARB volunteers helped with a bike rodeo event for a cub scout group in Metairie.  Volunteers helped make adjustments, fix flats and do small repairs and the cub scout group had collected bikes to donate.

*For the 2nd year in a row, RUBARB kids got a chance to see some short films at the New Orleans Kids Film Festival!  They watched various animations and got to enjoy the beautiful CAC

*RUBARB took it’s ANNUAL BEACH FIELD TRIP to Waveland, MS!  24 people (6 adults, 18 youth!) drove to the beach for a day of swimming, frolicking, fishing, and getting caught in the rain…  Everyone had

*DREAMTIME CIRCUS, a travelling group of performers from the Bay are, came to RUBARB and turned the corner of Piety & Tonti into a circus wonderland!  they juggled, did acrobatics and aerial acts, spun and ate
